IEACS is a collective of global scholar-practitioners at the forefront of teaching, learning and international education consulting and research.

 

Experts in their respective fields, IEACS has developed an innovative series of Faculty Professional Development Workshops and International College Admissions Workshops for colleges/universities, independent private high schools and Educational Agencies around the globe.  These workshops are unique, active-learning experiences designed to be hosted online or on campus.

Mr. Lyons is an award-winning, interculturally competent professor, consultant and edupreneur with domestic and international teaching and consulting experience. He has earned degrees in Communications, Management and Education, holds a Teaching and Learning Strategies for Higher Education certificate from Harvard University, an Internationalizing the Curriculum certificate from Boston College and is a doctoral candidate in Higher Education Administration with a concentration in International Higher Education at Northeastern University.  Facile at teaching in online (a certified online learning intstructor), blended and tradtional course formats, he is an expert at Blackboard, Canvas and Moodle Learning Management Systems and is a proponent of integrating emotional and cultural intelligence to engage traditional, international, underrepresented and adult-learners.

Dr. Florencia Gabriele

Senior Consultant

A highly sought-after educator with a Ph.D. and M.A. in Political Science from Northeastern University, Dr. Gabriele is an M.I.T. Poverty Lab graduate, earned a Master's Degree in International Economics and Finance from Brandeis University, and a B.A. in Economics and Management from Emmanuel College.  She has taught at the undergraduate and graduate level, presented at conferences and hosted workshops on three continents. Her expertise in pedagogical practices and the integration of technology in the classroom distinguishes her as an  innovative higher education educator and consultant. She has received two GoOpen grants from the state of Massachusetts, and was awarded the first prize in the Best in Class competition granted by the National Economics Teaching Association in 2018.  Hassan Awaisi, MA

Mr. Awaisi is a multilingual translator and dynamic educator with expertise in foreign language instruction and cultural awareness training. He holds an M.A. in Religion from the University of Chicago, B.A. in International Relations from Boston University, and Pass A Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (CELTA). In 2018, he travelled to Jordan under a Fulbright grant to design and teach business communication courses at one of the top hospitality colleges in the Middle East. His pedagogical style focuses on the creative use of visual aids and mnemonic strategies to enhance learning. He speaks Arabic, Spanish, and Urdu at an advanced level and has working proficiency in Japanese and Russian.
